I've always been interested in storms and lightning. About a week ago, I heard rumbling behind Mt O'Reilly, hopped onto the BOM website and saw that the main part of the storm was heading towards Redcliffe. I jumped into into my car and the race was on to get to Redcliffe, before the front arrived. Unfortunately, I was 30mins too late and could see the front heading out to sea with some rumbling but no lightning. However, I did get some nice cloud action and stayed for a pretty sunset before heading home. Will be better prepared when storm season arrives in September.
